ABSTRACT

Finite element method (FEM) has become an effective tool for biomechanical researches because of its high efficiency, accuracy and repeatability. Due to the complex anatomical structure and motion characteristics of foot and ankle, FEM can solve the problems that are difficult to be solved in real experiments with the help of powerful simulation modeling and data calculation ability, which has unique advantages and has been widely used. In this paper, the literatures on foot and ankle biomechanics using FEM at home and abroad in recent five years were summarized, and the following 4 aspects were reviewed: biomechanical analysis of foot and ankle under different motion states, researches on tissue characteristics, clinical treatment analysis, and researches on orthosis and shoes, so as to provide theoretical references for the study of foot and ankle biomechanics, as well as new ideas for the application and development of FEM in the field of foot and ankle biomechanics in the future.

ABSTRACT

To develop a survival time prediction model for patients with ovarian serous cystadenocarcinoma after surgery. A retrospective analysis of 5906 postoperative patients with ovarian serous cystadenocarcinoma in the surveillance, epidemiology, and end results (SEER) database from 2010 to 2015 was performed. The independent risk factors for long-term survival were analyzed with multivariate Cox proportional hazard regression model. The nomogram of 3-year and 5-year survival was developed by using R language. The receiver operator characteristic (ROC) curve and were used to test the discrimination of the model and the calibration diagram was used to evaluate the degree of calibration of the prediction model. The survival curves was conducted by the risk factors. Cox proportional hazard regression model showed that age, race, histological grade (poorly differentiated and undifferentiated), stage T (T2a, T2b, T2c, T3a, T3b and T3c), and stage M (M1) were independent factors for the prognosis of patients with ovarian serous cystadenocarcinoma after surgery. A nomogram was developed by the R language tool for predicting the 3-year and survival of patients through age, race, histological classification, stage T and stage M. The C-index was 0.688 and the areas under ROC curve of the nomogram for predicting 3-year and 5-year survival were 0.708 and 0.716, respectively. The results of the calibration indicated that the predicted values were consistent with the actual values in the prediction models. The survival time of patients with high-risk factors was shorter than that of patients with low-risk factors (<0.05). The developed nomogram in this study can be used to predict 3-year and 5-year survival of postoperative patients with ovarian serous cystadenocarcinoma, and it may be beneficial to guide clinical treatment.

ABSTRACT

Objective@#To explore the effects of ambient fine particulate matter(PM2.5)exposure on semen quality in healthy adult men .@*Methods@#The semen quality data were collected from the pre-pregnancy check outpatient of Taizhou Central Hospital from August 2014 to December 2017,excluding the patients with any disease of reproductive system. The data of daily pollutant concentration of this area during the same period were also collected to estimate the exposures of PM2.5,PM10,SO2,NO2,O3 and CO during 90 days before each semen examination. Logistic regression model was applied to estimate the association between PM2.5 exposure and semen quality .@*Results@#A total of 3 456 healthy adult men were included in this study. The median (interquartile range)of the total sperm count of the 3 456 subjects was 161.00(122.00)×106,and 94.40% of the subjects could reach the lower reference limit for sperm count. The median(interquartile range)of the sperm concentration was 22.20(18.80)×106/mL,and 69.50% of the subjects were qualified. The median(interquartile range)of the sperm vitality was 55.30%(23.37%),and 44.10% of the subjects were qualified. The median(interquartile range)of daily average concentration of PM2.5 at 0-90 days before semen examination was 37.82(12.33)μg/m3. The results of multivariate logistic regression model showed that,with each 12.33 μg/m3 increase of PM2.5 exposures at 0-90 days before semen examination,the odds ratios of unqualified sperm concentration,sperm motility and sperm vitality were 1.236(95%CI:1.041-1.466),1.493(95%CI:1.260-1.770)and 1.462(95%CI:1.246-1.715),respectively .@*Conclusion@#The results suggested that high concentration of ambient PM2.5 exposure during the sperm development period negatively affects sperm concentration,sperm motility and sperm vitality.

ABSTRACT

Objective To study the relationship of clinical and radiological characteristics with the pathogenesis of acute small deep cerebellar infarction (SDCI).Methods Ninety-five patients with acute small cerebellar infarction admitted to our hospital from April 2015 to April 2017 were divided into deep cerebellar infarction (DCI) group (n =20) and cortical infarction group (n =75).Their clinical and imaging characteristics were compared.Results The lacunar infarction score,leukoararaiosis score and microbleeds score were significantly higher [2 (1,2)score vs 1 (0,1) score,P=0.001;3(2,4)score vs 1(1,2)score,P=0.000;30.0% vs 6.7%,P=0.041] while the incidence of AF and carotid or basilar artery atheromatous sclerosis was significantly lower (5.0% vs 30.7 %,P =0.040;15.0 % vs 40.0 %,P =0.037;20.0 % vs 60.0 %,P =0.001),the incidence of small artery lesions was significantly higher while that of atherosclerotic and cardiogenic throm bosis was significantly lower in DCI group than in cortical infarction group (P<0.05,P<0.01).Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that lacunar cerebellar infarction and cerebral microbleeds were the independent risk factors for DCI (OR=3.233,95%CI:1.538-6.795,P=0.002;OR=8.123,95%CI:2.182-5.301,P=0.009) and that DCI was positively related with small artery lesions (OR=5.481,95%CI:1.811-19.815,P=0.006).Conclusion SDCI is induced by small vessel lesions.

ABSTRACT

Objective To study the relationship between single subcortical small infarction (SSSI) in middle cerebral artery (MCA) and large artery atheromatous sclerosis (LAAS).Methods One hundred and sixty patients with acute SSSI in MCA admitted to our hospital from January 2014 to December 2015 were divided into proximal infarction group (n=98) and distal infarction group (n=62).Their demographic,clinical,imaging data and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) score were recorded on admision.Results The incidence of coronary heart disease,NIHSS score,and contralateral intracranial artery stenosis were significantly higher while the incidence of proximal infarction,old lacunar infarction,and periventricular leukoaraiosis was significantly lower in proximal infarction group than in distal infarction group (21.4% vs 3.2%,P=0.001;3 vs 2,P=0.030;19.4% vs 1.6%,P=0.002;10.2% vs 29.0%,P=0.002;16.3% vs 33.9%,P=0.010).Logistic regression analysis showed that proximal infarction was independently related with old lacunar infarction,contralateral intracranial artery stenosis and periventricular leukoaraiosis (OR=0.270,95%CI:0.100-0.726,P=0.009;OR=4.500,95%CI:1.541-15.012,P=0.018;OR=0.325,95%CI:0.127-0.834,P=0.019).Conclusion Distal SSSI in MCA is related with small vessel disease while proximal SSSI in MCA is related with LAAS.

ABSTRACT

Objective To observe the effect of exenatide on endoplasmic reticulum stress (ERS) in human renal mesangial cells (HRMCs) injured by fluctuating hyperglycemia culture,and to explore the mechanism.Methods HRMCs were randomly divided into three groups:control group (group N,cells were cultured in 5.6 mmol/L glucose for 24 h),fluctuating hyperglycemia group (group F,cells were cultured in 30 mmol/L glucose for 3 h,5.6 mmol/L glucose for 2 h,repeated three times in one day,then 5.6 mmoll/L glucose overnight),fluctuating hyperglycemia and exenatide group (group F+G,HRMCs were cultured in fluctuating hyperglycemia and 100 nmol/L exenatide).MTT assay was used to measure the viability in each group.The apoptosis rates were detected by flow cytometry in three groups.The relative expression of glucose regulated protein78 (GRP78) and CCAAT/enhancerbinding protein homologous protein (CHOP) were tested by Western blot assay.Results Compared with the group N,the cell proliferation level decreased,the cell apoptosis rate increased,and the expression levels of GRP78 and CHOP increased in F group (P < 0.05).After treatment with exenatide,the cell proliferation rate increased,cell apoptosis rate decreased (P < 0.05),and the expression levels of GRP78 and CHOP decreased in F+G group,compared with those of the group F (P < 0.05).Conclusion Exenatide can reduce the damage of fluctuating hyperglycemia on HRMCs by down-regulating the stress levels of the endoplasmic reticulum stress.

ABSTRACT

Objective To study the role of nursing risk management in prevention of pressure sores in stroke patients. Methods From January 2016 to December 2016,1,334 stroke patients from the third section,department of neurology of our hospital were assigned as the observation group,where the nursing risk management was applied and meanwhile,another 1,295 stroke patients from the second section of the same department as the control group, where only routine nursing was applied. The two groups were compared in terms of incidence rate and treatment outcome of pressure ulcers.Result The incidence rate of new pressure ulcer and of the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group (all P<0.05).Conclusion The nursing risk management in the pressure ulcer prevention for stroke patients significantly reduces the incidence rate of pressure ulcers and improves the cure rate.

ABSTRACT

Objectives To investigate the correlation between HIF-1α expression level and clinical pathological characteristics of ovarian carcinoma in the elderly.Methods The expression levels of HIF-1α in normal ovary tissue,benign ovarian tumor tissue,borderline ovarian tumor tissue and ovarian cancer tissue were detected in the elderly by immunohistochemical method.And the correlations between HIF-1α expression level and clinical pathological characteristics of ovarian carcinoma were analyzed in the elderly.Results The HIF-1α expression was almost nothing in normal ovarian and benign ovarian tumor tissues,low in the borderline ovarian tissues,and high in the ovarian cancer tissue(Z=11.324,P =0.002).The IOD value of tissues was higher in borderline ovarian tumor tissue[(2.58 ± 0.65) × 105] and ovarian cancer tissue [(5.95 ± 1.02) × 105] than in normal ovary tissue[(1.90±0.35) × 105]and benign ovarian tumor tissue[1.95±0.41) × 105] (F=15.711,P=0.001).The expression of HIF-1α in the tissues was lower in ovarian cancer with stage Ⅰ-Ⅱ,high or moderate differentiation and non-metastatic lymph node than in ovarian cancer with stage Ⅲ-Ⅳ,low differentiation and metastatic lymph node (x2 =4.714,6.121,6.364;P =0.030,0.013,0.012).Conclusions The expression of HIF-1α is up-regulated in ovarian cancer in the elderly compared with normal ovarian tissues,which may be related to occurrence,development and clinical prognosis of ovarian cancer.

ABSTRACT

Objective To observe the change rules of expressions of IL-1β, IL-4, IFN-γ and TGF-β1 in serum and colon tissue in rats with ulcerative colitis of spleen-kidney yang deficiency type; To explore the action in the progress of ulcerative colitis of spleen-kidney yang deficiency type.MethodsComposite method was used to establish rat models with ulcerative colitis of spleen-kidney yang deficiency type. 75 Wistar rats were randomly divided into blank group, model 3 d group, model 7 d group and model 21 d group. ELISA was used to test the levels of IL-1β, IL-4, IFN-γ and TGF-β1 in serum and colon tissue.Results Compared with the blank group, contents of IL-1β and IFN-γ in model group increased significantly (P<0.05,P<0.01), and the contents of IL-4 and TGF-β1 content decreased (P<0.05,P<0.01),especially in the model 7 d group (P<0.01).ConclusionThe pro-inflammatory factor IL-1β, IFN-γ and anti-inflammatory factor IL-4 and TGF-β1 play an important role in rats with ulcerative colitis of spleen-kidney yang deficiency type.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the effect of advanced oxidation protein products (AOPPs) on human renal tubular epithelial cells(HK-2) autophagy.Methods HK-2 cells were stimulated with AOPPs.RT-qPCR and Western blot were used to determine the expression of autophagy related protein LC3-Ⅱ/LC3-Ⅰ,Beclin1 and p62;Western blot was utilized to examine the activation of p38 MAPK pathway.Then p38 MAPK inhibitor (SB203580) was added and co-processed with AOPPs.The change of autophagy was observed Also,autophagy inducer rapamycin was added and co-processed with AOPPs.RT-qPCR and Western blot were used to detect the expression of cell cycle inhibitory protein p27.The cell total protein level was detected by the bicinchoninic acid (BCA) method.The hypertrophy change was observed.Results AOPPs down-regulated the expression of LC3-Ⅱ/LC3-Ⅰ and Beclin1,up-regulated expression of p62 and activated p38 MAPK pathway;in comparison with the AOPPs alone treatment group,the expression of LC3-Ⅱ/LC3-Ⅰ and Beclin in the SB203580 co-processing group was increased,while p62 was decreased;the p27 expression and cells total protein in the sirolimus co-processing group were down-regulated.Conclusion AOPPs inhibits the autophagy of HK-2 cells by activating p38 MAPK pathway and the autophagy inhibition participates in HK-2 cell hypertrophy.

ABSTRACT

Objective To study the relationship between high on-treatment platelet reactivity (HTPR) and early neurological deterioration (END) in acute non-cardiogenic cerebral infarction patients.Methods Two hundred and fifteen acute non-cardiogenic cerebral infarction patients were divided into END group (n=55) and EDD-free group (n=160).The patients were given oral aspirin (300 mg daily) on the day after admission,and fasting blood samples were taken at 6-24 h after the first dose of aspirin.Their platelet aggregative function (PAGT) was assayed with ADP to detect the platelet responsiveness to aspirin.The incidence of HTPR was compared between the two groups.The independent risk factors for END were analyzed by multivariate logistic regression analysis.The value of PAGT in predicting END was assessed according to its ROC curve.Results The incidence of HTRP was higher in END group than in END-free group (63.34% vs 43.75%,P<0.05).Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that HTRP was an independent risk factor for acute non-cardiogenic cerebral infarction.The area under the ROC curve was 0.864 for PAGT in predicting acute non-cardiogenic cerebral infarction (95 % CI:0.806-0.922,P=0.000).Conclusion HTPR is closely related with END in acute non-cardiogenic cerebral infarction patients.

ABSTRACT

Objective To observe the effects of Sishen Pills on gene and protein expressions of toll-like receptor 2 (TLR-2) and toll-like receptor 4 (TLR-4) of colonic tissue in spleen-kidney yang deficiency rats with ulcerative colitis (UC); To discuss its mechanism of action for spleen-kidney yang deficiency UC. Methods Lavage of senna +intraperitoneal injection of hydrocortisone injection + enema of 2,4,6-trinitrobenzene sulfonic acid/ethanol were used to establish the model of UC of spleen-kidney yang deficiency type. 90 Wister rats were randomly divided into blank group, model group, Salazosulfadimidine group and the Sishen Pills high-, medium- and low-group. Each medication group was intervened by relevant medicine. RT-qPCR was used to detect the expressions of TLR-2 and TLR-4, and Western blot was used to detect the protein expressions of TLR-2 and TLR-4. SOD and MDA in serum were detected. Results Compared with the blank group, SOD activity decreased and MDA content increased in the model group (P<0.01); gene and protein expressions of TLR-2 and TLR-4 increased significantly (P<0.05). Compared with model group, SOD increased and MDA content decreased in all the medication groups (P<0.05, P<0.01); gene and protein expressions of TLR-2 and TLR-4 decreased (P<0.05, P<0.01). Conclusion Sishen Pills can achieve the treatment of UC by improving the metabolism of oxygen radicals in colonic tissue and regulating the immune system of the intestinal epithelium.

ABSTRACT

Objective To detect the expression levels of serum alpha fetal protein (AFP),carbohydrate antigen 199(CA-199) and carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA) in a rat model of liver cancer and elderly liver cancer patients,and explore its clinical significance.Methods A rat model of liver cancer was successfully established by intraperitoneal injection of a low dose of diethylnitrosamine (DEN).The expression levels of serum AFP,CA-199 and CEA in rats were determined and compared during the development of liver cancer.Blood samples were collected from elderly subjects with normal liver and elderly liver cancer patients(n=80,each).The expressions of serum AFP,CA-199 and CEA were determined and compared between healthy elderly patients and elderly liver cancer patients.Results Serum levels of AFP,CA-199 and CEA were higher in liver cancer rats than in normal rats [(4.21±1.32) μg/Lvs.(1.05±0.33) μg/L,(3.78±1.04) kU/L vs.(1.00±0.28) kU/L,(3.54±0.92) μg/Lvs.(1.10±0.37) μg/L,t=9.493,8.609,7.675,respectively,all P=0.000].Serum AFP,CA-199 and CEA levels were higher in elderly patients with liver cancer than in elderly subjects with normal liver [(66.89±9.33) μg/L vs.(2.56±1.09) μg/L,(116.89±43.33) kU/L vs.(5.56±1.26) kU/L,(5.83 ± 1.56) μg/L vs.(1.17 ± 0.51) μg/L(t=14.379,17.470,10.677,respectively,all P=0.000).The positive rate of joint detection of AFP,CA-199 and CEA was higher in elderly patients with liver cancer than in elderly subjects with normal liver [77.50% (62/80) vs.1.25%(1/80),x2 =17.260,P=0.000].Conclusions The joint detection of AFP,CA-199 and CEA can help increase the diagnostic rate of liver cancer in elderly patients.

Objective To investigate the disinfection effect of the endoscope disinfection machine with acidic oxidizing poten‐tial water on the fiber bronchoscopy .Methods Totlly 460 cases of contamination after diagnosis and treatment in the department , were randomly divided into experimental group (using electrolyzed oxidizing water as disinfectant ;according to the cleaning and dis‐infection of endoscope Koeman brand ECM‐03A type machine bronchoscope disinfection) and control group (with 2% glutaralde‐hyde disinfectant of the traditional five tank cleaning disinfection method ) ,evaluation of endoscopic surface cleanliness ,surface at‐tachment ,pipe blockage and bacterial colony detection .Results The experimental group was better than the control group in the aspects of endoscopic surface cleanliness ,mirror surface attachment ,pipe blockage and so on ;The number of sterile growth in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group ,both in the inner cavity sampling method and the outside sampling method .The number of cases of ≥20 CFU/piece in the experimental group was significantly less than that in the control group , with the cavity sampling method ,the qualified rate of the experimental group was also significantly higher than that of the control group ,the difference was statistically significant (P< 0 .05) .Conclusion The application of acidic oxidizing potential water as a disinfectant in the whole automatic endoscope disinfection machine significantly improve the quality of cleaning and disinfection ,at the same time ,and reduce human labor strength ,improve the application efficiency of fiber bronchoscopy ,worthy of promotion .

Objective: To provide reference for clinical pharmacists to write case analysis work .Methods: The reviews of 185 case analysis work of clinical pharmacists from the training bases all over the country were collected .Combined with the practical expe-rience of clinical teaching , the reviews were analyzed and discussed .Results:The problems in title , introduction , drug use analysis , summary and experience of the case analysis work were pointed out , and some improvement suggestions were provided , especially those for the improvement of case analysis evaluation form .Conclusion:Although the case analysis work has been screened by the teachers of training bases , the problems are still outstanding .The rationalization proposals provided in the paper maybe help improve the quality of case analysis work .

Objective To explore the effect of different diary method on daily affect of college students.Methods 75 numbers of under-graduates were randomly assigned into information recording group,feeling recording group and control group.Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) and Positive And Negative Affect Scale (PANAS) were used before and after two months intervention.Results For positive emotion,ANOVA results showed no significant (P>0.05) main effect of time,a significant (P<0.05) main effect of group(2.76±0.41,2.97±0.50,3.24±0.45),and the time × group had a significant interaction (P<0.05).Simple effect analysis showed that after the intervention,the positive emotions of information recording group (2.47 ± 0.62) and feeling recording group (2.86±0.64) was lower than the positive emotions of control group(3.35±0.46) significantly(P<0.05).For negative emotions,there was no significant difference (P>0.05) in main effects of time,group and interaction;for depression,the main effect of the level of time (8.02± 5.65,5.38 ± 5.04,5.20± 5.51) was significant (P< 0.01),and main effect of group and the interaction were not significant(P>0.05).Conclusion Different diary methods have different effects on the subject's daily affect.

ABSTRACT

<p><b>OBJECTIVE</b>To investigate the influence of the local sensory abnormality in throat while the change of motility in the upper esophageal sphincter (UES) and lower esophageal sphincter (LES), as well as the change of esophageal body in pharyngeal paraesthesia.</p><p><b>METHODS</b>From January 2014 to January 2015 there were sixty-four patients who had pharyngeal susceptible syndrome (PSS) but without confirmed organic disease were enrolled as the PSS group, forty healthy volunteers as the control group. High resolution manometry (HRM) was utilized to distinguish esophageal motility patterns of PSS, including the muscular tension of LES and UES, the integrity, adaptability, amplitude, speed and duration of esophageal peristalsis at 10 swallows.</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>The resting LES and UES pressures and the distal contractile integral (DCI) of esophagus in PSS group were lower than that in control group (P < 0.05). The esophageal peristalsis was decelerated and shortened in duration, and amplitude of contraction notably lower in PSS group compared with its counterpart (P < 0.05). The integrity of esophageal peristalsis was impaired in PSS with remarkable changes in motility patterns, involving ratio of major and minor interrupts, and synchronous contraction rate (P < 0.05). As for the time course from relaxation to the lowest pressure point of UES and time for restoration, no definite difference was noticed between the two groups (P > 0.05). The average peak pressure was similar in two groups (P > 0.05).</p><p><b>CONCLUSIONS</b>Muscle tension around the UES has no obvious change when pharyngeal paraesthesia occurred, but the reduction of esophageal motor function, clearance ability, anti-reflux gastroesophageal junction, causing the abnormal reflux which hurt the pharyngeal surface mucosa maybe one of the most important reasons leading to pharyngeal paresthesia.</p>

ABSTRACT

BACKGROUND:Although there is no report of adipose-derived stem cells in ureteral repair, but with the deepening of the research of adipose stem cells, the differentiation conditions of adipose-derived stem cells to the vascular endothelial cells, smooth muscle cells and urothelial cells are more mature, and the experimental research of adipose-derived stem cells in the repair and reconstruction of kidney and bladder is also increasing. OBJECTIVE:To summarize the adipose-derived stem cells research and its application in damage and repair of urinary system in recent years. METHODS:The first author retrieved PubMed database and CNKI databases for articles relevant to adipose-derived stem cells in the repair of urinary system published between January 2001 to September 2013 using the keywords of“adipose tissue-derived stem cel/adipose tissue-derived stromal cells/ADSCs;tissue engineering;kidney;ureter;ureathra;bladder;urology”in English and Chinese, respectively. Final y, 52 articles were included for further analysis. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Adipose-derived stem cells which can be found easily and have the unique advantages of multi-directional differentiation ability have been used for repairing and constructing the urinary system. Adipose-derived stem cells provide a new model of treatment for the urinary tract, which solves the traditional problems, including immune rejection, source of organs and ethical issues, and become an ideal cellsource in repair of urinary system. Accumulated data related to adipose-derived stem cells and its experiment and clinical application in repair of urinary system injuries have been reported. But before the cells are widely used in clinic, the fol owing problems need to be solved:its specific surface marker identification, specific conditions and control of celldifferentiation, mechanisms of action.

ABSTRACT

Objective To evaluate the value and safety of transbronchial needle aspiration (TBNA) in the diagnosis of lung cancer. Methods The cytologic diagnosis of TBNA in 82 patients with enlarged hilar and/or mediastinal lymphnodes or lesions adjacent to the bronchial wall were analyzed retrospectively. All specimens were detected by the ThinPrep cytologic test. Results There were 43 positive cases in the 82 patients, and the positive rate was 52.4 %. There were 18 SCLCs,11squamous cancers, 9 adenocarcinomas and 5 undefinable cancers, respectively. There were 39 patients with local bronchial wall swelling accompanied with abnormal mucosae. TBNA, douche, brushing and forcep biopsy were applied, and the diagnostic rate was 64.1%, 7.7 %, 25.6 % and 48.7 %, respectively. The total positive rate was 76.9 %. 43 patients with normal mucous membrane only underwent TBNA. 18 cases were positive, and the positive rate was 41.9 %. There was no obvious complication in the 82 patients. Conclusion The technique of TBNA enlarged the inspection scope of bronchoscopy. It has significant meaning to the diagnosis of lung cancer. TBNA was an useful and safe method in clinical application and could be used widely.

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore effects of heroin and ephedrine on the histological structure and ChAT activity of hypothalamus and hippocampus of filial mice. Expression of Bcl-2 associated X protein(Bax protein) and keratinocyte growth factor(KGF) of hypothalamus and hippocampus were measured. Methods One hundred and eight filial mice were given intraperitoneal injection of heroin and ephedrine by gradually increase of doses, apoptosis and expression of Bax protein and KGF of hypothalamus and hippocampus were observed by Giemsa staining and immunohistochemistry, and the ChAT activity was detected by colorimetry. Results After administration of heroin and ephedrine at 5,10,15,20 days, the number of apoptotic cells and expression of Bax protein and KGF of hypothalamus and hippocampus were significantly increased and ChAT activity was lower than those of the control group(P<0.05 or P<0.01). There were differences between heroin group and the ephedrine group in the above-mentioned four indexes (P<0.05 or P<0.01). The number of apoptotic cells and Bax protein and KGF immunopositive neurons of hypothalamus and hippocampus increased by the increase in dose of heroin and ephedrine. Conclusions Heroin and ephedrine had great effect on the histological structure and ChAT activity of hypothalamus and hippocampus of filial mice, and this effects would be related to the cell apoptosis of hypothalamus and hippocampus.
